Give me a D! i! S! C!

When we finally got our test results back from the personal profile test, I was quite anxious and a little surprised at the results. However I believe that the test accurately profiled me, at least for the most part anyway. My test result was that I was a C, high D. I almost wished it was the other way around, but I think it is still a good judge of the kind of person I am, and I suppose that I wouldn't change it.
As accurate as this and other tests may be, I do believe that judging people based solely on tests and questions is not enough to fully understand someone, there must be interactions so I would not like something like this in order to help with other personal interactions.

I think that it is best to have one of each type, that way everybody can support everyone else and also give out ideas that may help the group make the best decision overall. But since I am a C, it would be best to have a D person, a S person and a I person to fully fulfill the needs of each other.

  1. I am also a C, high D and found this test to be fairly accurate of my personality. I 100% agree that any group activity such as the survival activity will be successful if all 4 different types of personalities are mixed into a group. By combining all 4 individuals, you will have a combination of many different qualities and when they are mixed together, they will produce great results.

  2. I agree with you on the point that it wouldn't be accurate to judge people only by the type of characteristics they posess: D, I, S, or C. Besides being one or more of the types, people differ in terms of being influenced by many other factors: the family, the upbringing, social environment and other things, which helped to form their personality. But I totally agree that this kind of tests are very helpful and interesting.

  3. Like others, I also agree that having all 4 types of leaders in a group would work out well and reduce the chances of people clashing with one another. Although this test may seem inefficient, it does save a lot of time in weeding out individuals needed when choosing out of the mass. The test is like a brief overview of the individual.

  4. I do agree with you that judging people based on the results of these tests is not sufficient giving the complexity of the nature of humans: some people adopt to demanded situation rapidely and management "type" changes given age experience and willingness.
When it come to a survival situation i am with you, i believe that it is valuable to have a mix of people’s management “type”. Having a ship with soo many captains or an army of soldiers but no comander are not desired scenarios because they are additional risk to the risk of not surviving.

  5. I've with you on a couple of projects in class and agree with your results for the diagnostic. I wonder why you so much want to be a D. I was also a high C and personally believe that they are the most well rounded people, capable of having all characteristics of the other types. I also agree with your other points that we must have each type to perform a task or solve a situation with a mix of individuals. This will create more ideas and better decisions overall.
